There's a waterfall in a gorge near Arkona where the rocks are packed with fossils from when Lambton County was the bottom of a warm tropical sea. You can pick them up. You can take one home.

During the Devonian period, long before dinosaurs, this whole area was under a shallow tropical sea. Sea creatures died, sank into the mud, and got buried under layer after layer of it until the mud turned to rock. The Ausable River has spent thousands of years cutting down through those layers, so the fossils are sitting right at the surface.
The waterfall has walked. It's moved about 400 metres upstream from where it started as the river slowly eats the rock, and it's still going.
