Nothing sharp, nothing hot, nowhere far. Tell someone what you're up to, then go ahead and do it on your own.
Why that works
Warm water wakes up the gluten in flour, which is what makes the dough stretchy instead of crumbly. The oil keeps it from drying out and the salt keeps it from going mouldy, so it lasts a couple of weeks in a bag.
